"Smartfish Technologies has developed a mouse made to relieve stress on your wrist and help avoid injuries like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Their ErgoMotion Technology uses a pivot base to allow you to move the mouse naturally as your hand moves. It also allows the mouse position to rest at an angle comfortable for your wrist. This technology was designed in collaboration with the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York which is the #1 rater Hospital for Orthopedics. This mouse also includes wireless connection with a tiny nano-tranceiver that also has a special storage space on the bottom of the mouse for portability. Using this type of receiver allows for instant and uninterrupted connection, wirelessly, and no software required! This ErgoMotion Mouse uses a 800dpi laser for precise control and allows you to use the mouse on almost any type of surface. It is also an ambidextrous mouse, great for right and left handed users.
I thought the mouse took a bit to get use to at first as it adjusts it's position as you leave the mouse to type, and then place your hand back to use the mouse again. Once I got use to this pivot though I thought this mouse was really neat how it moved! I did feel like it was much more comfortable for my wrist! My computer chair has large arm rests so it doesn't fit under my desk unless I lower the chair, which then places a strain on my wrist while using my normal mouse. I do often lower the chair when I've been at the computer for several hours for a change of position and have often felt my wrist a bit sore from the change of height. This mouse is so neat how it pivots in all directions - side to side and front to back. It did feel a little bit wide for my hand and I missed not having my easy back navigation buttons at my thumb, though. The tiny USB port is really neat and I think it's great how it can store right on the bottom of the mouse so I can take the mouse on trips with me and use it with my netbook. The mouse is very sleek and nice looking and I appreciate that the battery life lasts up to 10 months!"
